Right now....Masquerade!
I'm off to a Masquerade 18th Birthday Ball tonight! This may seem like a bit of a challenge...but I've actually been to one before! (Lady Tappington's 50th!) so luckily no cross over in friends! So my red corset dress and gold mask will be perfect and ecological too! Can't wait! The invite says 'All styles of masks acceptable' I'll let you know if anyone turns up in a balaclava!

Paradise Thursdays
Suitably school uniformed (!) we started the night at Revs after shivering at the bus stop. Where was the atmosphere?? In detention? We decided to decamp to see were there was a party - and got approached by a promoter promising free entry to Lola Lo til 10.45. It was 10.30...ran (difficult in 5 inch heels) to Lola Lo. Just got there in time...to be told it was £5...I wasn't happy! Asked the woman behind the desk if she would let the promoters know since it may cause further issue...she was very cold 'Oh yeah yeah whatever' First lesson in my blog of what NOT to do at an event. If you're working at an event facing customers always be polite and open....not immature and simply lazy. Saying that...we did pay £5...it was cold outside -and it looked like more the atmosphere we were hoping for. And it was! Fantastic night - just get your promotions right guys!!

Happy Valentines!
Tonight I'm going to a school girl night at Revolution in Reading! Getting in is never a doddle, as I look so young but eventually after 2 to 3 looks at my ID I'll pass muster. Oh well...I'll revel in looking 20 when I'm 30. I don't even know what to wear! If you could see my old school uniform you'd understand :-) (check out Christ's Hospital!) Don't you hate being the one person that's dressed up to theme and everyone else has just turned up in plain clothes...horrible huh! Well I don't want it! Tried on my old school games skirt - didn' t fit,, but found a white shi rt and an excellent tie, plus some fishnets (not that school girls ever wore them except at St Trinian's haha!). Should be a good night though. Celebrating my life as a singleton! But to anyone who has someone to be with today or to all you lovely people who should have someone...Happy Valentines Day!

First Base!
Hi!
One of my resolutions for 2013 was to start a blog talking about events that I’d been to or events that I’m working at. I've been meaning to do it for ages but got caught with perfection paralysis - but then a reporter grabbed me at Reading Station on the way into work on the 2nd January and I committed to do it on radio! So now it's on public record, I'm putting perfectionism aside and just doing it. I’m a Live Events and Promotion Apprentice so I'm looking to learn from any event that I go to - what was great about it (and what was really bad!)...…and spread the news to other young people who read my blog!
The great thing about technology these days is that I can post from wherever..I can be sat at home..or sat on the train on the go…that is partially the reason of the name of this blog. I can be talking about the present or the past. Possibly even the future! Where to go. When to go. What to wear, and if you are on the other side of the fence, how to promote your event in the right way to the right audience.
I will be posting a couple of times a week…asking Siri to remind me also! So I hope you all enjoy what I have to say!
